Two Lovers of Prishtinë
She stood there, swaying slightly, in her white wedding dress, while he was cleaning the dirty concrete with his bare hands. Every time she looked at him, he fell and she caught all his weight in her arms. Her white dress was stained with dirt and blood.
This piece reflects gender based power dynamics and expectations in a patriarchal society.
Developed and performed as part of the Prishtinë – mon amour project on the 08.09.2012 in the ruins of the sports arena “Boro Ramizi”, Pristina, Kosovo.
